Art Create:Fixate Six-Year Anniversary: Reunion

Bi-monthly art, music, and scenester extravaganza Create:Fixate celebrates its sixth anniversary with a move to posher (and more permanent) digs, not too far from its former Downtown location. The salon-style exhibition features more than 60 visual artists, live painting, performances, music, video, fashion, jewelry, and a kid-friendly craft corner for budding impresarios. With DJs from the KCRW roster, wicked breakbeat all-star Oscure, Groove Riders, and Detroit Underground's Derek Michael all on hand, the only downside is that it's hard to look at art while you're whipping your ponytail around on the dance floor.
