Music: Electronic Jamie Lidell

Warp Records' bionic crooner Jamie Lidell first broke on the electro scene with 2005's Multiply. Touted as a brilliant, oddball homage to Motown, Lidell only revealed the genius of his production method when he hit the stage, sampling and looping his own voice live before stepping to the mic to sing. His new record, Jim, focuses more on his pipes and persona, and should catapult him from well-regarded electronica maven to pop sensation.
