Reading Cartoon High School feat Alex Robinson and Mike Dawson

Adolescent angst takes on new meaning when examined through the mixed-media lens of the graphic novel. Alex Robinson and Mike Dawson, two acclaimed comics writers, present their newest creations at Cartoon High School. Robinson's Too Cool to be Forgotten chronicles a middle-aged father whose attempt to quit smoking through hypnosis takes him on a journey that outdoes the one sparked by Proust's famous madeleine: he actually wakes up in 1985, when he's 15 years old. Dawson's book, Freddie and Me: A Coming-of-Age (Bohemian) Rhapsody, is a memoir of the author's Queen-obsessed teenage years. Robinson and Dawson interview each other while showing slides of their work.
